ARES--Consists of licensed amateurs who have voluntarily registered their qualifications and equipment for communications in the public service when disaster strikes.
RACES--Is a radio communication service of volunteer licensed amateurs officially enrolled in the local civil-preparedness agency having jurisdiction.
The Las Vegas Radio Amateur Club, Inc. (LVRAC), the oldest amateur radio club in Las Vegas, has been active in the Clark County community since April 1961 and is an ARRL (The National Association of Amateur Radio) Affiliated Club.
The Dixie Amateur Radio Club, Inc. is an association of federally licensed Amateur Radio operators (also known as "ham radio" operators) who primarily reside in southwestern Utah, mostly in the greater St. George City metropolitan area. We also have members who live in rural areas of Washington County and in areas outside of the county.

The Las Vegas Repeater Association (LVRA), commonly known as HXO from our club callsign WA7HXO, owns and operates VHF and UHF amateur radio repeaters throughout Southern Nevada, Southwestern Utah, and Northwestern Arizona with connectivity to Southern California.
The Utah VHF Society is a organization founded in 1968 to promote and coordinate the installation and use of VHF/UHF amateur repeaters throughout Utah at a time when operation on 2 meters was fairly rare and repeaters were even rarer! In the interest of spurring on what was viewed to be a growing facet of the hobby, the Utah VHF Society was conceived to facilitate the installation and coordination of the new repeaters as they came online.
